"Ka Ge Bay is a wonderful getaway from HCM, about 2.5 hrs away by car. The ocean is lovely (although I never swam in the ocean) to watch from the hotel. The staff were warm and friendly, although some were very inexperienced. Some went out of their way to make us feel comfortable (my wife loved the cassava cake and one member made sure she got a piece). We especially enjoyed Nhu in the restaurant. The Vietnamese food was quite good, but the chef was clearly not as comfortable with Western dishes and could use some additional coaching on them. The rooms were well kept and clean; in fact, I was impressed that the entire property looked almost new (this is an almost impossible task so close to the ocean). They served the same afternoon tea each day; I thought changing it wouldn't be that much more expensive, but it would add a lot. They should also consider offering more activities within the hotel, since there is very little to do in the immediate area. Overall, we were quite happy and would enjoy returning someday."

"Language barrier had an impact in our stay. We booked for an overnight stay unfortunately we had an event that may last hours. At 3am, I told one of the staffs that we will extend our stay (using a google translator) for few hours, and we got an OKAY. Few minutes before 12 noon (check out time) I asked the front desk to confirm about the few hours extension upto 4pm so that we can rest but the front desk said, "you need to get out." I begged to reconsider and even asked for any room but the reply was fully booked. I was tired to argue for more. On our way out, we saw lots of empty rooms, empty cabins, empty bungalows. So I really didn't get it. Maybe I was misunderstood? Anyways, the place is not near the whitesand or redsand dune which the website claimed they are."

"The Radisson Phan Tiet is a 10/10 for the price. Some of the staff could be friendlier and a bit more efficient but it’s Vietnam… the place is truly pet friendly. The garden Villa and the grounds are excellent. "
