"This was a beautiful small hotel, 8 rooms over a pub in the centre of town. Each room is different but mine (room 5) was amazing. Large bedroom and a spa line bathroom with a tub that would be perfect for wine and a bubble bath and a separate rainfall shower. Breakfast was included with a good sized menu. All the staff was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, so you are carrying your luggage up and down a lot of stairs, but the staff always jump in to help. This property is owned by...

"Historic character inn with rooms right in the centre of town. Parking is available in nearby municipal pay and display car parks - but do check with the hotel beforehand for details of which to park in as the closest is a short stay with a maximum stay of only 4 hours. There is a separate long stay car park within walking distance. Bedrooms have been stylishly brought up to twenty first century standards. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended."

"The property far exceeded our expectations, clean, tidy and warm, it is located in a quiet location on the grounds away from the main house any you feel like your totally self contained. The owner lets you be, and sent just a couple of courteous emails in case we wanted things like change of towels. the property is only about 7min drive to the centre of Canterbury. "

"The Lodge was so surprising. Being on the Cathedral grounds, it evokes a sense of tranquility and calm. That feeling does not extend past the walls of the ground. The breakfasts were amazing. The staff was most accommodating. Everything was within the radius of the Lodge and walking to places was easy. The only thing that disappointed was that the standard double room has a tiny bed which was caused a snug bed-share challenge. It worked out. We're glad we chose that accommodation."

"What a great stay!! It’s closer to the Canterbury West station, which means that it is away from all the crowds of bus tourists! Everything about this place was great - from the proprietors, the bartenders, the waiters, everyone! The sleep was the best sleep I’d had in days of our three week traveling. We had the best view of the Cathedral from our room and the breakfast was really lovely! Thank you! We will be back!"

"On day of arrival and also during the stay the reception and restaurant staff was amazing. We booked the stay based on how we were spoken over the phone when contacting the propery prior for some details. Spa facilities clean and fully working, cannot mention a negative comment about the property."
