"From the warm welcome by Bailey at reception, to our clean, well-equipped cabin with cosy couch and bed, decorated with a Muskoka flair, to the beach area equipped with kayaks, boards and paddle boat, we were very happy! See you soon.🌲😎🙂↔️"
"The property is very Canadiana. Just what you expect in the north
The room appeared to be freshly painted and newer bathroom. Had a very comfy bed
Only disappointment was the breakfast"
"It is a very nice hotel, close to shopping and Santa's Village. Our room was large and fully renovated. It was on the second floor so we had to haul our stuff up as there are no elevators.
The Staff is very friendly, and kind to children. There is coffee and tea 24hours in the lobby.
The pool is nice and warm. But again be prepared to walk down several flights of stairs to get to it.
From the pool is a view of the river and a deck you can choose to sit outside or in the pool area.
The only Amenitie that needs work is the hot tub. There are no jets. It is just standing water. And it could have been a little bit cleaner."
"This is a nice place for a gettaway and if you have kids even better. The beach is very nice. Not crowed and the water is sublime. You can wade out 100 feet or more and the water is at your waste or lower. The Kayaks and Canoes are nice to have. I went out most days in a Kayak. The staff are mainly young students but they are very nice and attentive. The pool is ok nothing special but great for kids. For seniors or those with mobility issues you might want to think twice about this place. There are 100 stairs to go down to the beach. No problem if you don't have health issues but it could be a concern otherwise. The general maintenance is not great. You can see that the resorts is managed on a tight budget but they take care of the essentials. The rooms are older though they are clean just don't expect luxury accommodations. We had a lake view and balcony which I recommend. Initally when we checked in we were given a room which was not the same as the description when we booked so just beware of this. The desk representative was so nice and she put us in another room with the balcony and lake view. The food is good although a bit pricey . Luckly Huntsville is close by so you have plently of options. One evening we had as entertainment a guitar player /folk singer who was excellent. Overall it was a nice gettaway. I would recommend it if you want to get away for a few days and not spend a fortune."
"Was a pit stop before heading into Algonquin and loved it. Rooms were clean, staff super friendly, and an amazing breakfast. Will stay again when we head to Algonquin"
