"We were well looked after from the moment we arrived. Communication with staff before our arrival was great and there was always somebody available if we needed help or advice about planning trips while we were there. The room was beautiful and the hotel is right in the heart of the old town so we were near restaurants and cafes. It was also very peaceful through the night. Delicious breakfast in the small quiet courtyard was a perfect way to start day."

Take advantage of the taxi service provided in order to aboid getting lost in the winding alleys that make up the Old City. Its unlike anything youve seen in a good way. Maria kindly arranged a day trip to the Krka waterfalls & arranged a dinner reservation at an excellent fish restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful with excellent egg, crepe & omelette options. Absolutely worthy of its 5* rating, great location for the centre of Split. Would definitely recommend to...

"Nous avions réservé une chambre double deluxe mais nous avons eu une chambre double standard selon les descriptions faites sur expedia.ca, aucun coin salon et les dimensions de la chambre concordait avec la standard, nous avons donc payé une chambre deluxe mais avons reçu une chambre standard. Aucun remboursement accordé pour cet écart. Il semble qu'il n'y ait qu'une seule chambre deluxe avec coin salon. Pour le reste, très bien."

"Location was convenient to walk to the old city stores and restaurants, however looking out of the window in the room was a junkyard, scrap metal and other debris The bathroom was fabulous with very modern fixtures. The electric lock system was wonderful not having a physical key was great "

We didn’t have to take any Ubers or taxis to do the things we wanted to do. Location right in docletians palace , many many places to eat and shop. Great stay!!!"

"The Residence Stine - this one was difficult to judge. Yes it ticks all the boxes but it’s not a hotel per se - it’s a large house converted into a 9 room bed & breakfast. So lacks the full hotel services. HOWEVER, the hotel is located in a residential area 200m-300m up quite a steep incline on a narrow cobbled street. Elderly & infirm - BEWARE! Cars can’t come anywhere near the property so you are on your own dragging your suitcase(s) up & down so bear this in mind. However, having said...

"Little tricky to find at first, as it's IN the palace and the door isn't especially obvious until you see it. Once you're there it's a fantastic spot, couldn't be closer to the center of everything in that area and the hosts are wonderful."

The breakfasts were excellent - varied, attractively-presented and featuring an impressive range of local produce. Shops were nearby, and within two hundred metres we could walk to Diocletian's Palace, the waterfront and two markets,as well as to the ferry port and bus station."
