"The good points are that the room was clean and hotel central. The bad points are that the hotel is very run down and nothing like the website photos. The furniture is old and cheap. The mattresses so soft they offer no support. The facilities are minimal. Staff sullen and grudging. Avoid as much better hotels & inns available. "

"A perfect stay and will definitely be back. Easy check in, the rooms, 1 and 2, were fantastic and great for the dogs. The facilities in the room were everything we needed. "It was a nice place and clean until we pulled the sofa bed out and it was dirty, a quick hover wouldn't have done it any harm. Overall its a nice place to stay, we did try and phone the numbers given to inform of the condition of the sofa bed however not one number was answered, we ended up getting the caretaker, who was 100% helpful"

"Average stay, had always heard good things about hawkstone but unfortunately it needs a fair amount of work doing to the hotel grounds and exterior to compliment the interior. The ‘driving range’ ball dispenser was broken and dispensed just a handful of broken and poor quality balls, the mats and baskets were broken and generally the place just looked unkempt (appreciate this is a golf club issue).
