I stayed at L' Horizon for a war memorial serive in Malling. It was close to malling and the food/dinner on the terrace was great.

Lovely French Bed and Breakfast

Very nice B&B in a quiet area in northern France. Hotel was very pleasant, the staff were great and the food service was outstanding French cuisine. If you do not need the full services of the major hotel this is the place to stay.

Lovely old building

We stayed one night in July during the heatwave. Positives - nice old building / lovely view over Thionville / Madame is very nice / great size room / Very nice dining room / Terrific food. Negatives - Faded decor in the room / Bathroom ready for a refurb. Beware there is NO AIRCON. Unfortunately, the fan that was supplied couldn't cope. Would we go again ? Yes.........but in autumn or winter !

Au calme!!

Séjour très agréable!!au calme loin de l'agitation de la ville a la lisière d'un bois...l'hôtel est un peu vieillot mais très confortable ..et le petit déjeuner très bon avec des fruit frais et des oranges pressées...la baignoire est petite mais la vue sur THionville est imprenable...

Bel Hotel

l'hotel est magnifique et les gerants tres serviables, il y a des pieces de collection qui rapelle la richesse du patrimoine de la region. Je felicite les gerants pour la preservation des lieux. En revanche au levé pas d'eau chaude. :-((( j'aurais espéré un geste commercial au moment du reglement de la facture pour ce desagrement non negligeable.

Excellent Hotel with Beautiful Views

We were treated like a welcomed guest and felt that we were in a fine home with complete privacy. Our room was well decorated and appointed. The outdoor spaces and landscaping here are beautiful as well as the distant vistas . This is a family owned facility and they will make you feel at home. The owner is also the chef and cooks up delicious meals. They were probably the best meals we had in 10 days in France.

Nice old building

This is a typical french hotel it is comfortable but has a slightly run down feel about it the large terrace at the back really needs repair.The breakfast was quite good by French standards but at 12 euro each rather expensive

Очень интересное местечко!

После облома с предварительно зарезервированным отелем стал искать что-то не очень дорогое и с рестораном. Было уже достаточно поздно и не хотелось остаться голодным с дороги. Цена показалась вполне разумной и почти по пути моего следования, бронирую! Заехав на стоянку, кстати бесплатную, был сразу заинтригован внешним видом отеля. Красный мишленовский кружочек на двери предал уверенности в хорошем ужине. И ресторан действительно порадовал, как отличной едой, так и великолепным видом из окна. Очень вежливая женщина на ресепшн показала мне мой номер. Номер тоже поразил, много старых вещей, огромный старинный шкаф, сантехника тоже в деревенском ретро стиле. Но всё исправно и сносно работае. Немного прохладно в ванной, но в спальне есть современный обогреватель. Выспался на славу. Отель запомнился и только с хорошей стороны. Хорошго отдыха!

Voor de 2e keer geboekt

Het hotel ligt prima onderweg naar zuid frankrijk. We hebben hier eerder geslapen en gegeten en die eravring was goed. Helaas viel het eten dit keer wat tegen. Vorige keer was het veel beter van kwaliteit en nu was het wat liefdeloos gemaakt. De kamer was prima en zeer conmfortabel.

Sehr nette, hilfsbereite Besitzerin. Sehr schöne Anlage, aber leider sind Gartenanlage und Rasen, Beete überwuchert und ungepflegt. Farbe blättert von schmiedeeisernen Toren und Fenstern. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer (Gardinen, Bettdecken, Kissen etc.) zeugt von einstiger hoher Qualität, aber alles wirkt "verblüht". Wir waren die einzigen Gäste ... Hier liegt wahrscheinlich die traurige Erklärung für den Abstieg dieses "Romantischen Hotels".

Hyggelig overnatting med god service. Vi kom veldig sent frem på grunn av trafikk igjennom Frankrike, men ringte hotellet som stilte opp med salat med røkt andebryst, foie fras, ost og vin som et bra alternativ til middag. God utsikt , hyggelig "privat" frokost i spisesalen på grunn av lite besøkende. Hyggelig og familiær service. Vi stopper nok her på neste tur gjennom Frankrike også.

Sehr schönes romantisches Hotel für Paare

Wir hatten ein wunderbares langes Wochenende im Hotel l'Horizon. Das Menü gleich am ersten Abend war gleich der richtige Einstieg: liebevoll zubereitet und von ausgezeichneter Qualität (Entenleberpastete, Jakobsmuscheln, Zwischengang Sorbet, Lamm, Käse und Nachtisch). Mit einem tollen Wein und der richtigen Umgebung: Auf der Terrasse neben dem Haus unter Bäumen. Dazu noch den freien Blick auf die Stadt Thionville weiter unten. Das Zimmer war schön, sauber und passend zum Hotel eingerichtet: romantisch - wie aus einer anderen Zeit (was eigentlich nicht unser Stil ist, aber es hat genau richtig zum Hotelstil gepasst). Leider gab es kein Doppelbett mehr, aber die zwei Betten, die wir hatten waren schön groß und konnten ohne Zwischenraum aneinander geschoben werden. Nach längerem Nachdenken was man noch verbessern könnte: Teilweise gab es Stühle aus weißem Plastik, passender wären Stühle aus Metall oder Holz. Die Toilette ist im Bad zwar abgetrennt, ich konnte wegen meiner längeren Beine die Tür nicht zumachen. Das Hotel ist auf jeden Fall für Paare zu empfehlen. Wir konnten vom Hotel einen Tagesausflug nach Metz machen (Fahrtzeit ca. 20 / 30 Minuten).
