"We were happy to check in early after leaving the ship. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was charming, bright and spacious for a historic hotel. The restaurant was busy but they took time to work with us on a dietary requirement. Dinner was very good as was the breakfast buffet. The location was convenient to the cruise terminal, ferries and the metro."

"This hotel is currently a construction site, which came as a shock after a long drive from the UK. While the guest rooms themselves appear as shown in the photos and seem to have been completed, the rest of the hotel is still undergoing significant renovation works. The restaurant and bar are housed in a temporary structure. Although functional, it felt very basic and not what one would expect from a finished hotel. Merci à Tammy, une jeune dame distinguée, courtoise, bienveillante et efficace, pour son accueil au St-James. Chambre moderne, lit confortable, ameublement au goût du jour, chambre de bain petite et très bien équipée avec douche en verre, serviettes et produits sanitaires de qualité. L’espace food market, une idée géniale, des produits de qualité...

"All great for minimalists and those who likes privacy and no everyday room service. Clean, great service, good location. However, no tea/coffee/kettle/hairdryer/no everyday room service. Beddings, pillows were great, very comfortable."

"Wonderful hotel right next to a Metro station, making it very convenient. Public parking right outside the hotel which is considerably cheaper than parking in the actual hotel (half the price for us considering we parked at 6:00 PM and then it’s free to park from 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM."
