Very clean room.Lovely pool. The hotel is out of the way near the river. We loved the tranquil setting. Apart from our safari trip (which was arranged by the owner) we didn’t leave the hotel, which suited us because the food provided at the hotel is delicious. The only negative thing I would say is they could do with upgrading the recliners by the pool.

The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. We also used their in house Safari and the driver / guide was brilliant. Highly recommended.

Dinner was delicious on both nights of our stay (as was breakfast) with a good selection of food and very generous portion sizes! Nandu could not have been kinder, taking us on a tour of the village and to a local swimming spot on the afternoon of our arrival, and providing snacks and ice creams....

Reception were happy to organise our safari in the morning. 10500LKR for 2 people all in which was definitely less expensive than other places I'd seen quoted. Picked up at 5.45 and back by 9.30 having seen all the wildlife needed...
