Great location, old rooms

Our stay here was overall good, but there were certainly some pros and cons to this hotel. Pros: * Friendly staff * Close proximity to major transit stations * Close proximity to Ameyoko market * Spacious bathroom Cons: * Room was old, dated, and very dimly lit * Walls looked dingy and yellowed, as if the room used to be a smoking room (no smell however) * Stiff beds, but not too bad I'm not sure if I would choose to stay here again, given the multitude of options available, but it was not a *bad* choice either.

回上野必會入住的酒店

酒店距離上野站很近，附近餐廳很多，酒店前面就是湖邊，很大自然的感覺。我們入住時沒有其他旅客，但酒店仍然給我們full buffet breakfast. 選擇不少啊！每一晚很便宜的價錢有這麼多的服務，在東京來說是意料之外的。

Hidden Gem in Ueno

We had a lovely 4 nights stay at the property. The lake facing room is far spacious from the standard Tokyo size we knew. We were intrigued by the traditional bedding style (a pair of futon). We chose this property because we wanted to be based in Ueno for easy commute to Narita. We were surprised to discover that the locality is such a nice area with plenty of sights, eateries, shopping and transportation. If there is something that the property could improve is the wifi signal in the room, which was rather weak.

이걸보시면 여기서 묵지마세요 그지같습니다 우에노에서 오랫동안지내서 호텔은거의다가봤는데 뷰제일좋은데라고하더니 3층줘서 뷰도 안보이고 리뷰믿지마시구요 호텔스닷컴보지말고 구글맵 켜서 호텔 보면 리뷰 솔직한거 다나와요 저도 이걸로 리뷰보고서 예약햇다가 지도좀보려고 구글맵켯다가 보고 환불하려고 햇더니 노환불로 해도 가격좀나가요 일단은 한국사람이시면 맘에안들 호텔이니까 예약하지마세요 그지같아요

You get what you pay for especially in the Ueno area. The hotel is old and the room is small but it's good enough for just me traveling alone who just need a place to sleep. The area is bad though, unless your are looking for some adult fun or I wouldn't recommend going out in late hours. In my previous experience, Japanese hotels are quite good in making the smoking room doesn't smell like smoking room but I was wrong this time. No matter how much I use the air freshness spray provided, the room smells like a chimney.
