"What a special property. The grounds were so beautiful especially the 110 year old avocado trees that reminded us of live oaks. The staff was so wonderful, because they weren’t fully booked, they gave us our choice of rooms. We chose one with a spectacular view of Banos Pueblo below. Our reservation included breakfast and dinner which was excellent, lots of choices both local and international. We also used the spa, which was affordably priced and very nice. The pools and terrace cafe was an excellent place to watch the sunset. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the Banos de Agua Santos area."

"We stayed here for two nights. It was just ok. Don't expect anything over the top considering how much you're paying. Breakfast is traditional Ecuadorian food. The hotel is close to all the downtown festivities and shops and is directly across the street from the city's main waterfall. We stayed here the weekend of Palm Sunday. The city was crazy with people, especially outside of the hotel. So, if you stay here that particular weekend, be prepared to be awakened very early (4am) in the morning with hundreds of people who have come to bath in the hot pools and waterfall. "

Traveling with young children (ages five and three), we weren’t sure what to expect at a more upscale resort, but it exceeded all expectations. Our kids had an amazing time, especially enjoying the chocolate massage and the pool area. It meant so much to us to see them so happy and included. "We got a standard room paying $85 which is on the high end for Ecuador. The rooms were old, the bathtub warped as you stepped on it. Later, we arrived late at night and could not contact the receptionist either by knocking on the door nor calling the phone numbers they gave us. There was no doorbell either, we finally got in contact with him and he let us in with no apology. The photos don’t match the property I’d look elsewhere. "
