"I arrived very late at night and was .ade to feel very welcome by the lady who usually lives in istanbul but was on holiday to help her uncle who owns the hotel. He was also so lovely. "Staff tried to stick us into 2 rooms that weren’t connected because the family suite we had booked didn’t have working AC. This wasn’t made clear to us and we had to wait until evening (with regular reminders from my husband ) until we got another room- still not what we had booked. To be fair, the staff did try to help - but the hotel is HUGE with literally hundreds of people who have no concept of queuing! They were understaffed and being Turkish trumped everything.
