I realise that you get what you pay for so try not to be overly critical for a budget B&B. Therefore I can accept that the room was small and the shower room dated. However there was also no heating when I arrived and the room was cold, the same on the second day of the stay, the room was cold when I returned from the seminar which I was attending, and the shower was not hot. The towel rail leaked, and as it was off all day the towels were damp in the evening.
Worse though were the breakfast hours, with breakfast available from 8:30 onwards. My schedule meant a rushed breakfast on one day, and on the second I had to find and eat breakfast at another hotel.
For dinner I arrived back on Friday too late to eat in nearby, and the hotel does not allow take away meals to be brought into guest rooms. This was a further inconvenience, but I understand that this may be common practice in guest houses.
Positive points were that the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.
Find a hotel that matches your needs - this one did not meet mine. But if the facilities met with you schedule requirements and other expectations then it would be fine.
