Torre dell'Orso Beach

People living in Puglia are lucky enough to have the sea touching two sides of their land. Because of this, when winds from north blow (Vento Maestrale) most of them favorite the western sea (Mar Ionio) looking for a calmer situation. Of course the other way round happens when southern winds blow (Scirocco). This tower is called Torre dell'Orso and it's one the favorite places for locals to relax on the Adriatic side of Salento

The Italians love their beaches but for me it was way too busy, people are practically sitting on top of each other. If you don’t like a busy beach do not come in the height of summer.
