"The staff were all excellent, the room wonderful and the grounds pretty - a great overall sense of quiet and calm
I did not like the booking experience with Expedia however - the photo linked with the room I booked was not correct and over-inflated expectation. When the hotel realised they changed the picture and offered us a free upgrade"
"We stopped at La Mansarde enroute to a tour of the war graves and memorials in France & Belgium.
Our host Jacqueline was an absolute diamond, and what we both lacked in fluency in the native tongue of the other, was suitably accommodated via translation tools.
La Mansarde is truly beautiful, very comfortable, within walking distance of fine restaurants and with the most brilliant host.
I will stop in five other establishments across the duration of this trip, and nothing else will surpass La Mansarde."
"The apartment was very nicely designed and decorated. The hotel only offered breakfast which was fine for us with plenty of options in the town. The one drawback was the fact that there was only a bath in the bedroom so for an older couple it was difficult to shower."
"This property is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts Dominique and Genevieve cannot do enough for you. On the day we arrived they had family visiting who were so lovely.
The village and setting is tranquil and pretty. From the moment we arrived, to be greeted with drinks, we felt welcomed and at home.
The room is lovely, very spacious and immaculate. The fridge is fully stocked with water and soft drinks and the coffee machine has an enormous choice.
Dominique helped us to book dinner at a really lovely restaurant 15 minutes drive from the house and served us with the most fabulous breakfast on the terrace.
We cannot rate this accommodation and family highly enough. Given the opportunity we would not hesitate to return."
"Our second visit to the Auberge and we could return in the future. Nice setting, good food, lovely staff - and close to the channel crossing so makes a great stopover."
"As usual we enjoyed our stay. Ŵe can recommend this hotel if you are driving to and fro from Dover to Calais. Convenient, clean lots of restaurants nearby to choose from easy free parking."
