"After a long day of travel, o needed a clean & quiet place to sleep & hopefully have a meal. Check-in was unclear but ended up being in the bar. There was a packaged charcuterie board I could purchase, otherwise, I had to ask for directions for places to eat (no info in the room, unlike usual accommodations which supply that). "We had to switch rooms because our thermostat wasn’t working. The gal at the desk was awesome. Very accommodating. I used the fitness center. We had been on the road three days and it felt good to get some exercise. This was a new facility with superb amenities. We would definitely stay there again."

The property is old and located in the middle of what feels like an industrial field area, which immediately gave off an uncomfortable vibe. I am not usually picky about hotels, but as a woman traveling alone, I honestly did not feel safe staying there. "This motel needs heavy remodeling. It shouldn't advertise breakfast included because it was just waffle, cereal and coffee (no coffee maker in the room). After hours, it has a video concierge that makes solving issues more complicated."

"We had an INCREDIBLE time!! We knew nothing about Basswood prior to arriving. The staff was amazing, Laura took care of us with a very specific scenario we hadn't anticipated and we are so grateful for her! Our cabin was awesome. The playgrounds were perfect for the kids.
