Modern hotel near bus station. The hotel is modern fairly small hotel in a more industrial area of Antofagasta. We chose the hotel because we thought it would be closeish to the airport. It was not so close to the centre. The hotel did tick all the boxes except it was in a rather industrial slightly run down area with only the hotel restaurant/ cafe to eat at. Overall, our stay was pretty good - most of the staff are friendly and the room was clean and everything you'd expect from a hotel room. Arriving at the hotel, it doesn't have the clearest sign - it looks like the hotel is called Hotel Antofagasta although on closer inspection there is a squiggly P afterwards. Maybe this justifies the reaction of the doorman when asking if we were in the right place (in Spanish) as maybe he thought it was a silly question, but I think just pointing at the...

This is a newish 14 storey hotel within a short walk to the sea. The room was of a modest size with a big modern bathroom. All the facilities were of a high standard, but the overall look was not as good as it could be due to poor building workmanship.The bed was big and very comfortable. Visiting my daughter who lives in Antofagasta and this was the perfect place to stay. Close to all amenities including a supermarket, various resturants and the sea! :) Bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillows too. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was really good and a very reasonable price. All that you need when you spend the days out and about. Overall I would recommend staying here it is clean, comfy and the staff are really nice.
