The hotel proprietor was so friendly and kind. The courtyard was relaxing. The breakfast was delicious. The beds and pillows were comfortable. And the inside of our suite was lovely.

We had an amazing stay in this lovely hotel. So quirky and full of character. Beds - amazing, best sleep ever. Walkable everywhere in Troyes old town, plenty of restaurants and cafes on your door step, grocery shop 5 min walk away. Lovely owners and housekeeping girls. Will definitely stay again as we are in this area often visiting my husband’s family. Definitely recommend!

The hotel is a bit funky but very charming and comfortable. Our suite was large and had a private outdoor terrace which was lovely. Troyes is a marvelous place and the hotel is convenient to the train and city center

We liked the historic building en the location in the historic Centre of Troyes. Last time we visited we were far more enthusiastic about the Hospitality and services. We missed the welcome of the owner, and we were not amused the the breakfast was served the evening before, while it was very warm outside. So old bread and melted cheese. We’ll come back when the owner is present!

Friendly and cosy

Very cosy and nice stay. Walking distance to everything in Troyes city. Friendly receptionist and owner who texted me directly with check-in info when arriving after reception was closed that night. Slept really good in the bedroom, almost too good 😇😅 Also a nice set of utilities in the kitchen incl. real oven which is rare on similar hotels, but it's really nice to have when cooking your own meals when travelling ☺️ Will stay again when visiting Troyes next time. ☺️

Inconvenient Thunderstorm

We arrived at the hotel in a thunderstorm, so after 10.5 hours worth of driving it did taint the experience slightly. It said it had hotel parking but I wasn’t aware there was a charge for this until I arrived. They didn’t have space (I didn’t anticipate that as being an issue but luckily parked 5 mins away. Like I said, if it was a thunderstorm it would have been so bad but we all got soaked through. If you are looking for a quirky hotel then this one in for you. Not modern at all but rather in keeping with the area. Family run hotel and the owners were very nice.

This hotel is not in good condition. Scalding water temperature; continuously leaking bathroom faucet; bathtub with a sign -not for use; peeling ‘leather’ couch with a too small cover to hide the condition. WIFI was not operable for more than 24 hours. Indifferent staff.

Great place, good location, very friendly staff. Old house with the usual wonky floors/staircase. Only Negative - so far the most expensive place for parking ( in France) we have stayed at, not good to be No1.

A gem of a hotel in the heart of the old city

Modern hotel suites embedded in historical setting being high comfort lodging while enjoying the experience of being taken back in time. Our bedroom opened on the charming inside courtyard. Pierre the owner of the hotel has thought every details : motion sensing lights and water taps, a kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, and fridge, and water kettle, satellite TV and WiFi. Breakfast is opulent and tasty. A gem of a place.

rustic apartment with some flaws

We were disappointed when we were standing in front of the gate in the rain and there was no one to open the gate and no one answered the phone. The area around the hotel doesnt feel safe so we didnt enjoy the wait outside. The apartment was adequate in its function but spotty here and there. Not to recommend.

There is no door in the bathroom, there is a strong smell in the bathroom, and can hear from the next room due to not good quality construction. There is no soap and the parking is very small. And all the towels are super olds😭

Good location and quirky room, but shower room lacked privacy - frosted windows only went up so far and the hotel rooms opposite looked straight in. Room had lots of rather dated furniture and the layout was problematic- only 6 inch space to get around the bed to the bathroom but room was deemed accessible. Bed clothes were so rough they irritated our skin. Breakfast was pricey but came as a basket of products which we then used as a v nice picnic lunch.
