"Would easily recommend staying here as the staff were very helpful and the location was perfect. Note there is no car park at the property but you can park at the top of the hill close by for free public parking so you need to be fit enough to take your luggage up stairs at the hotel and down a steep road for about 50m to get to the hotel from the carpark. "The location of this hotel is just amazing. You really are nestled right in the midst of tea plantations. The views are spectacular and the tea trails are worth exploring. Honestly, I loved it even more than the time I spent on Alishan National Park. But these views come with a price if you don’t have your own mode of transportation, like your own car. We arrived to the area (Shizhao) by bus, but to get to the hotel, you have to prearrange a pickup with a driver recommended by the hotel (there’s no Uber). So it is a must to be in communication with the hotel before getting there. Just the one way drive alone was 300NT which was more than the price of the bus ticket to get from Chiayi to Shizhao. This same process is repeated getting from the hotel to the Shizhao bus stop. I highly recommend getting the dinner at the hotel. It was so much food that I couldn’t finish everything."
