Enjoyable stay in Villa de Leva

Short stay to see Villa de Leva.Hotel ideally situated. Staff helpful. If you have wheeled luggage and you are arriving by bus,get a taxi. Cobbled streets and wheels are incompatible.

The rooms are too expensive for what they are. Tiny and very uncomfortable. We booked 2 nights, but only stayed for the first night. We moved to another hotel for the second night (Hotel Casa Real) only $30 extra per night and was impressively beautiful. Can't even compare them. I would not stay at La Roca again.

This is a super charming hotel. The courtyards are delightful. The staff is very friendly and the location is perfect.

Booked two nights. On the first evening we left this place and didn’t stay. Had to go and find another hotel due to cockroaches in our room. Can’t imagine what would it been when the light went off. Good looking colonial place but cockroaches means filth and uncleanliness. Totally unacceptable. Would never stay here.

The structure is over 400 years old and has been renovated nicely. My room was small but adequate, lots of hot water. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff was very helpful. The only drawback was that none of the TV channels were in English.

Nice location right on the main square and easy walking distance from restaurants and local historical sights. Quiet, with all rooms having windows opening onto the inner courtyard and garden. WiFi a little spotty and practically non existent in rooms further from main lobby area. Very nice and helpful staff.

Good location hotel

Hotel right in the central square, lovely house with great staff. Basic room with free internet and free breakfast. It is a bit noisy, but you are in a great location. Rooms are clean, good breakfast, there is free parking about 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

The hotel has two indoor gardens that are very attractive. The staff was very helpful. I found the bed in my room to be too hard for my comfort but that’s a matter of taste. The hotel was very quiet.

Lovely accommodation

Apparently La Roca (the rock) refers to their mattresses. Slightly softer than the floor, but only slightly. Otherwise, this place is Great! Location right on the Plaza Mayor is perfect. Free parking in a nearby secure lot. The hosts are very accommodating and pleasant. The facility is a colonial house that is huge, stretching far back from the square with two lovely courtyards inside, one of which is chock full of plants and flowers. It's delightfully quiet. The breakfast was good. Wish it had some fruit. In all, a great place to stay if you can tolerate a beyond-firm bed.

A nice hotel on the plaza. The courtyard in the hotel is filled with flowers. The breakfast is fair wifi is so so.

Charming Hotel at the main square

Great deal for the price, top noch location, amazing and very helpful staff (I really mean it) Very well kept, kinda basic but clean and charming. I think it is run by a family so it has this warm cozy feeling you won't find at hotels. Breakfast pretty basic and simple but nice, remember you are not at a $400 per night 5 star Four Seasons hotel.
