"This hotel is absolutely one of my favourites. The room/ building is spotless, the breakfast provided caters for all tastes plus every member of staff that I saw was cheerful with nothing being too much trouble. The bar area plus outside has plenty of comfortable tables and chairs. "

"Hotel was good, room great size. Could be great if they cleaned room everyday, stayed a week and room only done every other day. Yet if I booked daily I get a clean room 🤔. Carter and Fitch ok staff not helpful and food was ok but again could have been great"

"The room was clean, secure with controllable heating and there was a safe and iron in the room. There was no fridge in the room, but I was able to keep my drink cold for the morning in the sink filled with cold water. I was able to work on a table at the bar and the friendly staff kept me going with refreshments. It was a shame that Room Service stopped serving on Saturday evening at 11pm. I didn't get back from my meetings until late and I was pretty hungry. Otherwise, this is an excellent and fully recommended hotel. I have stayed here many times and it will continue to be my choice of hotel when visiting Newcastle (although technically the hotel is in Gateshead)."
