"This building is on the older side and is not really updated. it's hard to get a person on the phone and when I checked into my room the AC was off, which was a surprise since Okinawa and Japan in general are just so hot in the summer. I understand the idea of energy conservation but they could have turned it on shortly before I arrived.
This area is overrun with children and this is really what they are geared for, so I would not recommend this for a solo traveler. The breakfast is not great...
"Very new and super clean hotel. The staff were all nice and welcoming. Our twin rooms were very large and comfortable!
You are allowed to visit the adjacent convenience store and the public bath in the provided lounge wear. We had Agu pork Shabu Shabu for dinner and it was fantastic.
Overall my family and I were very satisfied with this hotel! "
"It was an excellent experience staying at this private beach house property in Motobu, Okinawa. The beautiful stretch of shallow natural sandy private beach in the backyard is called Gushiken Beach. There's dense jungle plants and trees along the rock formations cliffs, and hidden areas to explore at your own risk. Experience the local nature to the fullest... BUT bring bug spray for the "ninja" mosquitoes! These criters were bothersome around the property.
This property is close driving...
"The hotel could be a great stay for peace and relaxation if it was remodeled as the location is private and on a nice beach. However, the second floor ceiling was falling down from water damage and water was leaking not only from the ceiling but the light fixtures too and it smelled like mold."
"The Orion hotel is in a great location. Unfortunately, while we visited, it was on the heels of typhoons, and so the beach area out front was closed off to swimming for cleanup, but we were able to snorkel nearby. One of the items that really surprised me was how fantastic the breakfast buffet was I’m not a breakfast person, but it provided an opportunity to try many different types of Okinawan food, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely recommend staying at this resort."
"We stayed in the Green room. The ocean was visibly from the balcony door. The room itself was very nice with great space to move around and relax. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The property is next to a Hawaiian food restaurant run by the same family with very tasty food. It was also close to many attractions and other food places."
"Cosy and lovely guesthouse in Okinawa. The hosts were very kind and welcoming and played some music for us to enjoy. There were also maps and lots of things available to do - it is a shame it rained for most of the trip. I would definitely come back to stay again!"
