Kamer was behoorlijk gedateerd, veel verlichting werkte niet, donderdag is ruhetag dus wel ontbijt maar verder niets, geen drankje geen diner. Ook geen schone handdoeken tussendoor, alleen na vragen kregen we schone handdoeken. Jammer. Restaurant is uitstekend maar wel aan de prijs.

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes Traditionshotel in sehr ruhiger Lage mit einem tollen Ausblick von der Terasse auf das Saarland, ganz in der Nähe des Europa-Denkmals. Das junge, sehr freundliche Team ist sehr motiviert, auch wenn einige Abläufe bei Empfang und auch im Restaurant noch optimiert werden können. Ich hatte ein sehr geräumiges Zimmer aufgrund meiner Wahl "Queen-Bett", allerdings stellte sich heraus, dass auch hier zwei Einzelbetten neben einanderstanden, aufgrund der Einzelbreite aber noch komfortabel. Das Badezimmer ist deutlich renovierungsbedürftig, aber 69 EUR/Nacht inkl. Frühstück sind ein absolut fairer Preis. Das Frühstück wurde aufgrund meiner Wünsche vom Vorabend auf einem Tablet serviert (wahrscheinlich wg. Corona oder zu geringer Belegung), war optisch und geschmacklich sehr gut, und der Service durch die Dame, die Frühstück und Abrechnung betreute, sehr freundlich und persönlich. Ich empfehle das Hotel Restaurant Margaretenhof gerne weiter und würde auch gerne wieder kommen.

Spinnen und unfreundliches Personal

Im Hotel gab es sehr viele Spinnen! Als ich der älteren Service Dame davon erzählte, antwortete sie mir nur ganz gleichgültig, dass dies normal sei und sich immer über einen Tag viele Spinnen in den Zimmern ansammeln würden! Nach dem das Zimmer „gereinigt“ wurde, waren noch genug Spinnennetze zu sehen und das nicht an versteckten Stellen, sondern recht sichtbare! Zusätzlich wird mit Wlan im ganzen Hotel beworben. Im Zimmer davon keine Spur, lediglich im Restaurant vorhanden. Fotos wollte ich anhängen, ging aber nicht. Wer sie trotzdem sehen will, kann sie aber bei den Google Rezensionen sehen!

Check inn was good, dinner great, room nice however due to room location once I’d gone to bed the team decided to have dinner at the table directly adjacent to my room so it was very noisy also the check out lady refused to believe that we’d prepaid for our rooms & insisted we pay again despite email evidence form Expedia, she was also extremely rude & deliberately unhelpful.

Ausstattung in die Jahre gekommen, aber vielleicht

Wunderschön gelegen, sehr ruhig. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in hügeliger Landschaft an der französischen Grenze. Das angeschlossene Grilltestaurant ist sehr gut, das ist wichtig, da das Hotel fußläufig zu weit vom nächsten Ort gelegen ist. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist eher schlicht, in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber. Angenehmes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und zuvorkommenden Personsonal. Die eingeschoßige Anlage macht die Unterkunft sehr intim und persönlich.
