Amazing location for exploring the centre of Ulm and seeing the cathedral. Room was spacious and clean. If you want coffee in the morning you can go downstairs and utilise the machine in the dining area. Staff were friendly. The parking is located in a busy garage across the street - so could be a challenge during peak hours! We got lucky though. I would happily stay again to explore more of Ulm. We were there during the river festival so I highly recommend visiting then and seeing the cathedral. There is an amazing Moroccan restaurant about a 10 minute walk away. Google restaurants and you'll find it.

This isn't the first time we've come to Goldenes Rad to stay overnight, and there's a good reason for that. This hotel is simply fantastic because of its small size, location, rooms, breakfast, staff, etc. Simply top notch.

Central - maybe too central...

Functional, clean rooms. The hotel is very central, perfectly located to visit the old-town, the cathedral and in December, the Crhistmas market. However, if one decides to build a hotel right on the street, it's advisable to install soundproof windows at the very least. Sleeping after 05:30 am on a weekday is out of the question with all the traffic noise. :-(

Comfort in the middle of old town

Very nice hotel right in front of Cathedral and in the best location close to Fischer district and other attractions. Clean and functional The photos on hotels.com do not reflect the excellent quality of the building and the hotel. Breakfast was excellent too.
