Quick overnight stay

Just needed a room overnight and mine met all my requirements. Only negative would be lack of parking but I knew that before I booked.

Lovely place

Help with bags and a heater provided made the stay near perfect. You need to take your own coat hangers if in room one.

Marvellous

Couldn't have asked for more. Checked in early, great shower and everything you need in the room. Excellent location very helpful re the parking. Breakfast the best ever.

Business Overnight

Nice little hotel, centrally situated. Car park free 6.00pm-8.00am 100m away. Unfortunately their restaurant is only open Thursday-Saturday, but was able to get a good meal at The Farmers just down the road. Room and shower a little small but overall quite adequate.

Room 7; Overpriced for region, No lift; many steps

+ve: lovely decor to large, high ceiling ground floor dining lounge and adjacent cocktail bar with large array of choice and friendly, helpful staff. -ve: Hotel on double yellow lines and no parking. Car parks nearby but pain in the heavy rain. No lift inside and quite a few steps even from street level. Ladies loo up one flight of stairs from bar. I requested top floor room which I received (thanks) although Room 7 was quite space limited. En suite shower room very tired with hole in ceiling, very off white gloss on woodwork and ageing grouting. Shower power and heat good though. +ve:,Wholesome, quality breakfast with fresh fruit/ juices etc and nothing too much trouble, so we left oversated! Overall: pleasant stay, very clean and great food. Small tired room overpriced by c£30 given local competition we thought although larger rooms on level one are the same price apparently. Would stay again if better vfm possible.

Nice and convenient in the city center.

We were very happy with everything - breakfast was outstanding, room was clean and the location is also very good. The only reason for not giving 5 stars all the way was the room temperature which was to high - very difficult to regulate and to much noise if the window was open. Very good value for money though

Stylish hotel in town centre

The owners and staff offered a warm welcome, and throughout our short stay continued to demonstrate kindness and consideration to a level "above and beyond" usual expectation. The standard of decor is excellent, the bar fabulously stocked, and the food tip top! A highly recommended place to stay, I hope to return soon.

Comfortabel hotel

Het hotel is comfortabel en de kosten voor de overnachting zeker waard. Echter, op zondag is de keuken gesloten en ook in de omgeving zijn restaurants gesloten waardoor er bij aankomst geen gelegenheid was voor een avondmaaltijd. Voor een enkele overnachting (in combinatie met het doel van de reis) is het hotel comfortabel gebleken, voor een meerdaags verblijf zal dit hotel waarschijnlijk ook prima voldoen.
