A wonderful experience to stay in an authentic old converted nunnery across the street from the world famous abbey and many other sites and a block from the water. Also breakfast was delicious and the beds comfortable.

Summer vacation in Vadstena

There was nobody at the reception when it was stated there should be. After a phone call we got the key from a key box. The breakfast was good even though we seemed to be the only couple staying there.

The two buildings of this hotel, 200 years ago was a mental hospital. That is history. Now that it’s a hotel, the rooms are absolutely old Swedish charming. I can only talk about my room, but everything in it was antique and beautiful and fit with the period. It was very quiet. In between the two buildings it’s a lovely, circular garden, and there are tables and chairs out in front of each building. The breakfast was a Swedish breakfast as you would expect plus ginger shots. The staff was very nice and helpful. And just a few steps from the hotel is a path that goes around the lake to the castle by way of the kloster.

Iskallt i rummet när vi kom så vi fick bära runt tunga golvelement för att få lie värme. Saknade tv, krångliga lås i dörrarna så ytterdörren var näst intill omöjlig attt låsa, men fina badrum och ok frukost.

Vackert hotell som dock borde marknadsföras tydligare som ett bed and breakfast, i b&b kategorin är det otroligt bra men saknade vissa funktioner vi förväntar oss av ett hotell. Personalen var ny och kunde inte svara på frågor kring exempelvis parkering.

Gården är ytterst varsamt renoverad. Tidigare verksamhet var ”dårhus” för välbeställda män! Så kakelugn, men inget indraget vatten till rummen. Smidigt att själv checka in enl. SMS info, fin frukost, lugnt, centralt och vackert läge.

Mysigt men lyhört

Mysigt litet hotell med små karaktärsfulla rum i äldre stil. Tyvärr var det ganska lyhört då det är ett gammalt hus. Nattsömnen blir störd av kyrkklockor som ringer varje halvtimme samt att rumsgrannar går på toaletten som ligger på våningsplanet under. Frukosten har lite mindre urval men är fräsch och bra. Reception endast bemannad vissa tider. Sammanfattningsvis ett mysigt hotell men det rekommenderas att man har öronproppar för att kunna sova.

Bra frukost. Fri parkering i mån av plats, vilket vi inte hade förstått. Men personalen löste det. Lite spindelnät här och där. Men i det hela var det rent. Väldigt lyhört kan vara bra att känna till. Trappa upp till rummen där vi bodde och dusch och toaletter på nedre våningen. Sängarna var helt okej. Ingen hiss. När vi checkade in fick vi information om frukost tider och wifi inget om att det fanns pentry och kylskåp mm i andra huset. Vårt fel att vi inte läste infon på ytterdörren förrän kvällen innan vi skulle åka. Väldigt trevligt område och nära till allt.

Historisk gammelt sted med stemning

Dejligt stemningsfuldt sted, som kan anbefales. Især fordi man får at vide at der ikke er betjening undtagen i få timer, og at der ikke er bad på værelset. Det er også meget lydt, fordi det netop er et gammelt og fint hus. Skøn have at sidde i og adgang til te/kaffe/vand og lille dagligstue. Det var svært at få parkering trods at det stod i opslaget.

Charmigt boende med historiskt vingslag

Fin vistelse i charmigt rum. Rent och fräscht, vi hade toa/dusch i korridoren och badrockar på rummet. Härlig miljö ett stenkast från klosterområdet och nära till badstege i Vättern. Mycket god frukost och vänlig personal. Kan varmt rekommenderas.
