"We had booked Stóra Sandfell Rooms and Cottages for two nights but ended up staying only one. The setting is very peaceful and quiet, surrounded by woods, and it was different from the other places we stayed along the Ring Road. "This was our favourite stay while in Iceland. The cabins were well stocked and quiet, the right distance from town to feel removed. We were able to cook basic meals and we loved having access to a hot tub and sauna. Wouldn’t change a thing. It was lovely!"
