"Beautiful and generous sized rooms. Daily cleaning service and breakfast provided each morning. Staff do not speak much English, so it helps to have a translation app on your phone to communicate. This place is pretty remote and taxi service or rental car is a must. Arrange for taxi service prior to your arrival as there are not many taxi services in the area for travelers. We rode a train into Pisticci, to the Pisticci Scala station, and we were literally stranded. A local person who lived in the area of the train station offered to give us a ride to the resort. This was after we pulled our luggage through the gravel road to find help !!"

"Our room was large and very clean with a spotless bathroom and a nice shower. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was wonderful, fresh food and wine at a very reasonable price!"

"The palazzo is a lovely old house in the center of town right off the main square. The secret sauce here is the large, beautiful garden in back and the extremely personalized service. The staff makes every effort to please and assist. The general approach is thoughtful and old school in a nice way. We had a large room facing the street that was comfortable with high ceilings and lots of space. Bernalda, at first, seems like a not particularly lovely little town but it does grow on you. The house is infused by the interests and personality of the owner Francis Ford Coppola -- probably the principal reason most people visit. Fortunately, the hotel mostly lives up to the expectations..."
