Cute cozy room that was decorated for us to celebrate our honeymoon, friendly staff, great restaurant on site, easy to get everywhere from this location, great vibes, worth the stay!
Clean, fun , peaceful , relaxing, colorful vibes were my style. The pool was warm , hot tub jets worked great, yard clean, dog treats for my dog with towel , loved the coffee in the warm, grandmas basement was fun. Enjoyed the restaurant really delicious food.
Parking was good !
Disliked police cars there but guess you never know who’s staying there.
This was the first proper vacation my little family had ever taken. We lacked for nothing. The staff were very friendly and attentive. While there was no in-house breakfast (my fault for reading the listing info incorrectly) the hotel restaurant was absolutely delicious. The hotel pool was lovely, there were tons of entertaining amenities, and the rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh sheets each day. I don't think you could beat it for the price point.
The outdoor pool was warm and enjoyable for hours. The kids loved the waterslide. The Sweet Suite was a perfect room for 2 adults and 2 kids to enjoy an extended stay. Staff was accommodating. Location was good, we enjoyed the walk to and from the harbour. Coffee in the room was top notch. Loved that there was a kettle, microwave and toaster along with cutlery and plates/bowls. The kids loved that there was 2 TVs and a connection to a fire stick vs. Cable tv. The breakfast place connected to the hotel was fantastic. We will stay again!
HotelZed, Victoria - Clean and very comfortable. Zero plastic waste. Ruby restaurant food is delicious. Homemade hot sauce and strawberry jam (no Kraft jam in little packets).
On check-in, coffee was freshly ground for us, and coffee cream given to us (in little glass jars). Provided daily on request.
70s decor is fun, right down to the Ruby’s music… vinyl records playing on a turntable.
Free bicycles to borrow.
If you want a really unique stay in Victoria, Hotel Zed is it! It's only a 25 minute walk from downtown Victoria and has tons of great dining options within walking distance.
The King room was clean and straight out of the 70's - a cute velvet green sofa, lounge chair, small dining table and mini fridge. I loved the green "stained glass" wall divider/closet.
The pool, hot tub and sauna were all great, and the waterslide was a fun bonus!
"Grandmas Basement" on the bottom floor of reception was SO cool. A great place to hang out with your friends/family to watch tv, play a game of pool, or have an impromptu photoshoot!
Highly recommend and will certainly be staying here again!
The vibe was groovy. We loved Grandma’s basement. The pool and sauna were fab. We were sad the hot tub was closed for maintenance but everything else was fantastic! Highly recommend.
Staff were friendly, room was clean and cute. Unfortunately the pool was closed unexpectedly but they tried to make our stay fun anyways! We love the Zed!
