Hotel silken axis

Pros - good location, has parking, clean, helpful staff Cons - AC in room did not work, WiFi did not work, bathroom didn’t have a full door so no real privacy, no iron, we requested 2 twin beds but only queen bed available so had to sleep on a roll away bed which was not ideal for the price paid.

The room was big ans spaceous and the location was excellent. It was clean and the staff were welcoming and polite. The only “bad” thing was the parking situation. They charge you 15€ a day for parking in the premises. Other than that, we enjoyed it.

Disappointing start

Didn't get off to a great start,stood at reception,whilst 2 members of staff ignored us for approx 15 mins.We were confirmed through a chat to get a sea view,which we did not get,and asked for an iron which they could not give us as only maid service can hand this over in the mornings,and as this was the weekend was not possible.Room was lovely,clean and there was a terrace.Hotel most certainly is not a 4 star,we received better service in 2 star accommodation.

Upon check in, the agent totally ignored me for more than 5 minutes while she gave directions to other guests. She could have acknowledged me and said I will be with you in a moment, it was the guest who we will let you take care of her. Also, there was no parking available in the hotel and sent us to a parking lot near by and she neglected to tell us that upon leaving that parking garage we needed to pay with the attendants not on the machines which we did and got charged doubled the amount we were told it would cost. We asked the man at the desk next morning what happened and he say you should have paid the attendants and not at the machine. In any case after letting him know that we were not advised to do that, and that we would not pay the hotel for the second nights parking, reluctantly he agreed. The AC in the room did not work, we reported it, someone was supposed to have it checked, we don’t believe anything was done. On a positive note, the breakfast buffet was very good, and the staff that works in the dining room were very nice.

Well located and good value hotel with rooftop poo

Well located central hotel close to restaurants and other leisure. 10 min walk to main train station. Lovely rooftop pool, which whilst small is great for a city centre hotel. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms

Very good hotel right in the centre of the city. Walking distance from everywhere and except the train station (specially if you have a bag, it’s not a good idea because of the uphill walk). Staff was excellent, room absolutely perfect for a couple of nights stay. Cafeteria is also quite reasonably priced. Will definitely recommend

We booked a terrace room for our stay. We were told at check in there was none. Our room smelled of damp and was dark and dingy and the carpet was rank. There was refurbishing happening in the room beside us and there was a barrier just outside our door. The ‘gentleman’ that checked us in couldn’t have cared less and didn’t even pretend he did. The location was perfect, just steps away from the centre and the staff in the hotel cafe were lovely as was the food.
