"The hotel was pretty nice, the Wave restaurant in particular was awesome. The indoor pool felt a bit dated, but my kids still enjoyed it. The outdoor pool was super nice and we spent a decent amount of time there. The grounds were very well maintained and the views of the lake were spectacular of course. The staff was pleasant enough for the most part. We were just a bit disappointed with our room, it felt relatively small and dated, however it wasn't really where we spent most of our time, so it was okay. Overall our time was great and we definitely would recommend the Heidel House, but maybe not at the price point that we decided on. It seems like we would have had a better experience spending a bit more money on the room. I believe we paid the lowest price possible for a room there, and I feel like it showed. Again, it really wasn't bad for the money, I think I just had higher expectations for staying at a "resort" style hotel."
