"I would like to give 5 stars for this hotel, however that wouldn’t be totally accurate. The 5 stars aspect of the hotel are, friendly staff, pretty good breakfast, very comfortable beds, and the room had plenty of space (we had the Master Suite). The 3 & 4 star aspect of the hotel are, not so great location, the windows to our suite were only meters from the rail road track, the hotel is old (and it shows even though pretty well maintained), and if your not quick enough to book the jacuzzi and sauna at the spa you’re out of luck. Overall, we enjoyed our six night stay, and yes, we would probably stay again."

Hotel Emporio Zacatecas

"I arrived early 6am and had to wait 6 hrs for the rooms. Although, I was willing to pay extra for early check in but apparently there were no rooms available. We had to wait in the lobby/Bar and kept asking if they had any rooms available and I did so because I would see people leaving but I guess they took hours to get the rooms ready. I felt no consideration from the staff as I had a senior with me. I was assigned rooms completely on opposite ends of the building. One on 1st floor on the west side and the other on the 6th floor in the east side. 1st floor room felt stuffy, dark not much ventilation although there are ceiling fans and window, no AC, outdated. 6th floor room fresher, ceiling fan, window and more light. Size wise about the same just different layout. Location is great, food is ok, same menu everyday but there’s a variety from classic breakfast to traditional Zacatecas food. The building does need some update: Air Conditioning, carpets and bathrooms for the 1st floor rooms I would think."
