La Villa del Re - Adults Only - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
8/10 Good
"The hotel and the service is impeccable. Irena and Alice were super helpful finding us a beach for our stay. Why didn’t we just stay at the hotel beach? Because a bottle of wine was $80! The beer selection was plain rude. Corona ?!?! Nothing local like Ichnuso or Peroni? $27 room service charge? I have a long resume of 5-star hotels and they are known to accommodate all tastes and prices. This hotel needs to do better."
"We really enjoyed our stay and loved that the beach is just a short walk away. The food was good and everyone working there was friendly and helpful.
I had read some reviews about noise issues, but we requested a quiet cottage and we honestly didn't hear any noise from adjoining rooms."
"Beautiful B&B with so many great amenities. We loved the pool, the drinks were phenomenal and the breakfast was amazing! The little villa was so cute. Tastefully decorated & loved the character. The hotel staff was always available and made sure we were settled in as soon as we pulled up!"
"Amazing property in a beautiful location. Staff were very friendly and helpful, check in and check out went smoothly, the wine and mini bar as well as little shampoos and soaps made the whole experience feel very special. We only stayed one night but I would have loved to stay longer for the amazing buffet breakfast and huge pool alone! Also one of the comfiest beds and pillows of my trip."
"Had the most amazing time. I was a solo traveller here and I was looked after so well by all the staff. Great guy on the bar who was super friendly and made the best cocktails. Really helpful at reception too even though I spoke minimal Italian they were great. Tucked away a bit in location but worth the drive! Gorgeous resort. I just had breakfast at the resort, as opposed to full or half board - the selection wasn’t as massive as some hotels but it felt authentically Italian and had more than enough choice to keep me happy still! Everything tasted great. Would definitely stay there again! Highly recommend!"
"Such a unique property, set in a very private and peaceful area. We could hear small herds of goats passing by, with their bells ringing.
The staff are amazingly helpful! Very approachable!
We chose to stay one extra night because it is such a lovely place."
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful — very spacious, full of greenery and flowers, and everything was impeccably clean. Both pools were spotless and very well maintained.
There is a lovely path to the beach, only about a 100-meter walk, very pleasant and relaxing. For anyone who prefers not to walk, the hotel also provides electric carts to take you there. At the beach, umbrellas and sun loungers were already waiting for us, which made the experience even better.
What truly made this place special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely caring. Always smiling, always attentive, and every day they checked in to see if we needed anything.
What touched us the most was that they somehow found out it was my birthday without me mentioning it, and they surprised me with a handwritten card and a small gift. Such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay unforgettable.
Highly recommended, and we would gladly come back."
