"My wife and I spent two nights at Langley Castle and enjoyed our stay. We particularly enjoyed the scenery of the castle; the included breakfast; and the friendly and helpful staff. The room was nice and clean. The location of the hotel is convenient for visiting Hadrian's Wall sites, but is somewhat isolated so you would really need to have a vehicle to stay at Langley Castle. I enjoyed walking the trails around and just off the property. The only complaint I had was that the rooms were a bit...

"Food was poor. A number of items were not available, choice was very limited, breakfast was inedible. The bar shut very early even to residents and the hotel was locked up ridiculously early on a beautiful summers evening. The property was very clean but in severe need of upgrading. We gather it is changing hands, which may be responsible for the problems we had, but it cannot be a bad thing."

"Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel "

"Accurately advertised. You can literally see a mile castle on Hadrian’s Wall from your room. Beautiful country views. A problem with our heat was addressed immediately. Excellent dinner choices and service in the cozy pub. "

"This was a charming place to stay. There were sheep in the field outside our window. There were cookies and tea things in our room. There was a nice common room/library with lots of maps and guide books. We had a delicious full Scottish breakfast in the morning. We'd love to stay there again!"

"Staff and food excellent. Booked a Superior Double room at £172, unfortunately we got a family room with a single bed and what looked like a Queen bed. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling and a light hanging out, bare wires above the bedroom mirror, heating was not on and we came back to a cold room, had to get the staff to sort the heating out, and although there is tea and coffee in the room with a kettle, there was no milk provided and so we could not make a cuppa in the morning."

"A first class property. Exactly as described and photographed. Clean, comfortable, extremely spacious for a 2 bed, including the outside space, and very well equipped kitchen. A few miles single lane riving to get there, but sat nav is exact and worth the peace and quiet!!"
