"The 3 private beach accesses, 2 outdoor pools & indoor pool were all very nicely kept, as well as the other common areas. The staff was friendly & pleasant. We will definitely be back!"
"I like staying here. the staff is all ways nice. Rooms and beds are good. Needed some work in the bathroom and the pool area needs a little updating and fixing up. Still not that bad."
"The good: The room is very clean. The bed and pull out mattress was comfortable. The balcony was a perfect view of the ocean. The breakfast is delicious with many options for low calorie and some gluten free. The staff are extra helpful and very friendly. They quickly delivered anything we asked for (sheet set for couch, an extra pillow, and an extra bath towel). It's easy to check out pool towels. Both elevators were fast. This is our second year coming to this hotel on vacation.
The one bad: We were there from Monday - Wednesday. When we arrived, the pool was filthy with sand, leaf litter, dead bugs, disintegrating tissues/paper, and feathers. It didn't smell or taste like it was well chlorinated. It was finally vacuumed on the last morning of our stay, so we never got to enjoy a clean pool. The foot shower is a harsh jet stream which makes washing sand off your feet painful so lots of people walk through the pool instead. Last year the pool was well maintained, so this was a major disappointment."
"We stayed at this property probably 10 years ago when it was under another name because the proximity to the beach front cannot be beat. It's easy to park and the rooms were good size. Since the renovation - the property is 10x nicer! Clean paint, modern fixtures, lovely chairs outside each room to sit and view the ocean. The bathrooms were very nicely upgraded as well the bedding and other furniture.
The reason I only gave it 4-stars - the occupants next to our room on the 2nd floor continuously smoked cigarettes and weed and nobody stopped them. The weed especially permeated the air on the 2nd floor, the pool area and even down to the beach. The signage clearly says no smoking, but they brought a little ash tray and smoked anyway. We watched the young man who does the afternoon clean up on the pool deck walk right by them smoking. If it had not been for the weed smokers, I would say this property is a hidden gem. The manager and the cleaning staff were all very nice and the parking lot and pool deck were kept very clean and fresh."
Coconut Palms Beach Resort II, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Room was clean and nicely decorated. Parking was easy and plentiful. Didn't hear any noise from other people. Place is right on the beach and within walking distance of Flagler Avenue. Dominick at the front desk was very helpful. Will definitely come back next year."
