We had a huge tatami room looking over the ocean, very nicely appointed, and a separate room with a couch and massage chair, overlooking the ocean as well. Our bedroom had 2 double sized beds, and there was an extra tatami room that we never used...

"Close to Wakayama Castle which is worth visiting. Stayed in Japanese style room which was beautifully maintained, large and extremely comfortable (at least for me). Hotel procedure a little old-style but in a good way (eg. you get a physical key instead of an access card) but this is a little more common in areas away from big urban centers such as Osaka or Tokyo"
