Exactly as it appears on the sight, well kempt rooms. Fire place, Hot tub and cooking facilities.
Amazing morning views and great place to walk or cycle around.
We wished we could have stayed on longer, but I think we'll be back.
Perfect weekend away from busy London! We had the full spectrum of weather over the weekend (windy, sun, rain) but that didn't effect it - if anything we felt it added to our weekend there being so cosy.
This quirky lodge exceeded our expectations more than we could of imagined. Rachel was great with everything from email communication at the time of booking to a very warm and friendly greeting upon arrival.
This was the perfect romantic getaway with views that take your breath away. The hot tub was amazing looking out over rolling hills.
Thank you for everything Rachel. We will be back very soon.

Stayed for one night at the Chiltern views. Check in was quick and efficient. We were shown to our lodge, and where everything was. Everything was perfect. Hot tub was really relaxing. Will be coming back for sure. Would recommend a stay here!
Spent two nights at the Chilternviews. Lovely location and facilities were great. Staff friendly and helpful. Lodge was clean and cosy. Hot tub was great even though it was the middle of January ! Great local pub and friendly people. Perfect get away and will be coming back for sure
it was freezing the weekend we stayed, but the hot tub ensured we were able to warm up, the peace and quiet was well worth the coldness, exclusive views, privacy and the chance to reconnect to a loved one is priceless. we were woken by owls nearby and were privvy to a great display of kites and pheasants. the lodge is spotless and well thought out, staff greet you and help trolley your luggage up to the lodges and explain everything, logs, torches, matches, milk, tea and coffee are all supplied.
Beautiful lodge in gorgeous location. Facilities were excellent and every last detail had been thought of to make our stay even more perfect. Would definitely visit again.
We had the most wonderful, relaxing time at The Chiltern View. The accommodation is beautiful and well equipped with everything you could need for a weekend away - even down to quick lighting coals in the bbq. The hot tub is a brilliant addition, and welcomed after a long day cycling. The cabins are private, very quiet and a truly lovely escape. We couldn't have asked for more and cant wait to return.
Chilterns Views was a perfect getaway from a busy London life, situated in the Oxford countryside surrounded by nothing but wildlife it was amazing. The hot tub was a great way to wind down in the evening and best enjoyed at night!
Will be deffinately returning to Chilterns Views for a summer visit with more friends.
It was not quite what we expected but we still enjoyed our stay ( to be fair everything inside is as advertised, I just didn't read it thoroughly. Fabulous location, beautiful views, enjoyed the hammock and the highly private secluded position. What we were expecting for the price ( which I thought on the high side) , having stopped in luxury lodges before , was a fully equipped kitchen and a tv. Beware there is hob only plus an outdoor bbq , which makes this place best suited to summer. No take aways in the village either.
We made do for our two nights by ignoring the no- streaming request and using the iPad for tv, using the BBq on the one night it didn't rain, and going to the excellent village pub for the other night. ( nb a good 30 minute + walk from the lodge not the stated 10 mins! ).
The poor weather meant the provided fire and ample firewood really came in to its own though and made it very cosy inside.
We used the hot tub once, but find them a bit gimmicky. Maybe I would have used the space to extend the living area which is a little cramped and lacking some facilities but to be fair the owner is trying to create a different concept, and if this is for you, you will not be disappointed.
A great little place looking over the fields and wonderful at night to see the stars. Lounge diner was a good size and the bedroom was seperate and decent nice shower and bathroom. Highlight for me was the wood burner and hottub
The lodges at Chilterns View are lovely, cosy, beautifully done out and feel completely private. From the minute we walked in it felt like home, but also a complete escape from our usual busy city lives. Can't fault it. Would go back in a heartbeat - really wish we hadn't had to leave!
We had an absolutely amazing 2 day getaway at Chiltern view. The lodges are all built to a fantastic standard. The owners are lovely people and truly want to do everything they can to ensure you have a fantastic stay.
Facilities include WiFi, Hot Tub, 2 electric hobs, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, 'rain' like shower. There was no TV but this isn't the type of getaway where you'll be wanting to sit in front of a screen!
I gave room comfort 4/5 only because the hot water was not adequate for showers on the final day, it only lasted 2 minutes before it ran out. There is an immersion control in the boiler cupboard which we would have used if we had of had time & remembered!. It would be great if the hot water system would automatically turn this on if there was not enough heat from other heat sources.
Also the towel rail in the bathroom is only used as some kind of overflow? system if the water temperature becomes too hot from the fire; it never came on for us once. Be better if it just had a switch. I'm only being picky because the rooms are very expensive and to give a comprehensive review.
Overall, absolutely fantastic stay, we came home very relaxed and I've already sent the link to loads of friends and family who were genuinely interested in staying after seeing photo's and hearing our description.
We stayed 2 nights, and really enjoyed the privacy, comfortable lodgings, and hot-tub.
The views were amazing - I'd recommend the Chaucer Lodge for watching the sunset from the hot-tub.
Staff were very friendly and helpful - some handy guides were provided for local pubs and amenities.
Although this is not exactly a hotel (rather a private lodge holiday let), the interior of the bedroom and bathroom were of at least 4* hotel standards.
We stayed at the Chaucer lodge and the jacuzzi was brilliant. The lodge and jacuzzi does have some privacy, but you can be seen by other lodge holiday makers if they walk past your lodge.
Overall, it was a pleasant scenic stay with Rachel (the owner) ensuring her guests were comfortable.
Lovely stay, very relaxing and quiet with fabulous amenities. Great for a couple who want to get away from it all. Rachel, the owner, was very helpful and so lovely.
The second we arrived Rachel was on hand to put us at ease. The lodge and hot pool were immaculately clean. I did not have a single request as everything was available and already thought of by Rachel. I will stay here again for another tranquil retreat.
Thank you Rachel love the Baileys x
