"I booked pay at hotel with Expedia in late 2025. On January 5th I called the hotel to see if I could pay ahead of time. That request was accepted. I show up on April 20th, 2026 and at checkin, the lady helping me says I owe for the night. I told her that I paid already. Another woman working hears the conversation and says it’s not paid. I continue to explain the situation. Then I’m referred to another woman (owner), according to the original person assisting me. I briefly explain that the room has been paid for. Well she disagrees and starts with an even worse tone and attitude. And she ends with “I’m not going to argue with you “. I’m trying to find the mix up not argue.
I pay and then proceed to get my information together. My credit union says payment was released on 1-5-26. I go and show the original person helping me and now I have to call and speak with a more helpful person that was referred to me. We will see what happens "
"The room was clean, but the air conditioner in the room was really noisy and even when we turned it down it would not cycle off. We had to shut it off completly and then when the room got hot turn it back on. the exhaust fan in the bathroom had a high whine that was very loud. The toliet would not flush and was clogged most of our visit. The desk chair snapped while I was doing work and I landed on the floor hitting my head. My husband took the broken chair to the front desk where the young man behind the desk remarked that why did you break my chair. When asked to replace it he replied he did not have one. My husband then took the chair from the desk in the lobby, to replace the broken one. I needed one to complete work in the room. We would and will not stay here again."
"Decor around the property and rooms are very outdated, but everything is clean and smells somewhat fresh. The rooms are clean, beds are ok, bathrooms clean and the price is a good value with Blackburn College and the town just a few minutes away."
"The room was mostly clean... except the mirrors. They were gross!! I cleaned them myself. It looked like someone cleaned them with a greasy dirty rag. The floor was clean. Bathroom clean. Sheets clean. Good enough for a night's rest during long travel. The biggest problem was the window above the door with the brightest light shining thru. There's not really any way to cover it either, unless you have cardboard or tape or tacks. Bed was ok comfy but that light was so bright it was hard to sleep well. Other than that, it was a decent place to rest. The only noise was from the Love's traffic across the street."
