"The Stare Miastro PURO was an unexpected Scandi style delight! Modern, clean lined, stylised rooms with oak panelling and travertine/marble interior and gold bathroom fittings. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.
Whole hotel was clean, modern, new. Great reception staff.
Biggest plus point was the divine breakfast - amazing a la carte options, and delicious pastries and many types of fresh bread.
We ate supper one night here too - tasty schnitzel, lovely wine, and ordered a side of green veg.
Rooftop bar was great too - replete with proper wool blankets for when it gets chilly.
Being picky, my only two quibbles are that 1) the room lighting, especially in the bathroom, is on the dim side (partic in shower cubicle). And 2) the green veg on dinner menu doesn't state that it comes with green curry sauce. The menu should either state that or it be served on the side in a jug. Whilst the curry sauce was delicious, the schnitzel already came with a scrummy butter and mushroom sauce, and so the thai flavour with the green beans just overpowered the taste of everything else. We sent our beans back and asked for plain ones!
Looks like there's a few PURO in Poland, and some coming in Prague and Budapest. Wouldn't hesitate to book another elsewhere - it felt a really upmarket, sophisticated stay and was about 10mins walk from the old town. We loved it!"
