"Reasonable stay but not to the standard promised. Our room was large with sea view (through trees and past golf course) but it was quite dated. Breakfast was very poor; food generally was mediocre and over-priced. Hot and cold jacuzzis in spa were not working (allegedly due to maintenance but no work was being done). Most poor was that one of the four restaurants was not open; we were told that they only open it when they have enough bookings and that it serves the same food as another restaurant (this is not what it says on their website). "

"The rooms were musky. There was a lot of mosquitoes in the room, even after putting the mosquito repellent. Floors in the bathroom was sticky. My room key was misplaced and I was charged 300 for a new key. Never did I have to return the card key. On a brighter side, the staff was very courteous, when we had breakfast. "

"Let’s start with the positives, the rooms are big with a big balcony. There has clearly been some paint splashed over the walls recently. Sadly the overall result is a soulless room only experience. The place is trading on the more interesting Om Shanti at the beach but has none of the charm. the staff are as welcoming as prison guards. There are lots of places to stay nearby, this isn’t the worst place to stay if everything else is booked"

"Our stay at Gateway was amazing! The resort location is perfect and there is an hotel shuttle that can bring you to the nearest beaches at almost anytime. The service was excellent. "Worst stay of my life – unsafe, unhygienic, and completely misrepresented This was hands down the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. My family was genuinely scared during the stay, and I was under constant stress the entire time. The property falsely mentions parking available within 100 meters—there is no dedicated parking at all. I was forced to park my car next to a garbage dumping area, which itself says everything about the place. The entrance and rooms are in horrible condition. Mattresses were lying openly in the corridor, the place was full of mosquitoes, and despite repeatedly asking, no mosquito repellent or support was provided by the staff. Trash was scattered all around the back side of the property, making the environment extremely unhygienic. There was constant noise, random people coming and going, and absolutely no sense of safety or professionalism. This did not feel like a hotel—it felt chaotic and unsafe. Thanks to Expedia for at least trying to help with alternatives, but unfortunately this stay itself turned out to be a complete disaster for us. To make things worse, customer care offered a laughable ₹100 compensation and no alternate stay options, which is frankly insulting given the situation. I strongly urge Expedia to physically review and audit properties before listing them. This place should not be listed on any travel platform. I would never recommend this property to anyone, especially families."
