"It is an old hotel with minimum upgrades. Being in a room on the 3rd floor with no air conditioning, it got hot and uncomfortable, When I opened the window, the right-side weight cords was broken, and the windowpane came out of its casing track. I had to pull the windowpane back into the casing so it would not fall out. The pane would not stay open by itself so I put a small trash can under the window to hold it open that I found under the sink drainpipe. When we used sink, the sink drainpipe began leaking onto the carpet. With the window open I heard 8 trains roll by that night and all the I84 highway noise, so I got little sleep. The hotel is 1/2 of a short block from the tracks and a block from the highway. Then parking was an issue. You have to pay for on street parking between 8am to 6pm for 3 hours at a time. Or you can go to the Railroad lot and pay $18 for 24 hours. The hotel is quaint and quirky. The room was decorated nicely. The early 1930's elevator was cool. Other than that, I would not recommend it to anyone."
