We arrived after the first half of our trip in VA. We opened the door to the room and it stunk like old cigarettes and chemicals tying to cover that smell. They told us the hotel was booked and couldn’t change the room. The following day they said they might be able to change the room-nope. 3 nights of disgusting smell. The towels smelled maybe clean but not bleach clean like the last hotel-same for the bedding. The parque floor was dirty. Surfaces were dirty. Continental breakfast was ok. The young lady working the breakfast was overly friendly our first morning. I did not appreciate that she handled and handed us each of our paper plates and plastic ware after cleaning counters and not washing or sanitizing her hands in between. She probably got wind of our dissatisfaction of the stinky room and was only polite the next 2 mornings. The neighborhood was bad. A lot of homeless people, grafitti, lots of sirens. I recommend if you are desperate. If you want a nice comfy and not grossed out stay, move on and find somewhere else

The room was dirty with old furnishings, the bedsheets were changed out everyday with ones that never fit the mattress and would come off in the corners every time the bed was used. The neighborhood was so rough that the grounds required 24 hr security guards. The sound of sirens from police and first responders was a 24 hr occurrence. I prepaid for my motel thru Expedia for the full package but was blindsided with the hidden cost of parking for additional $165.00 and the desk staff was so unprofessional when I ask why this wasn’t included in my package. How did a Hotel of this caliber get its current ratings? They are definitely 1/2 of their current ratings

We booked this hotel down to the price, although it was good value for money it was too far away from all the tourist spots, so we ended up paying quite a lot for Ubers . No complaints about the Hotel, it’s quite basic but good value for the money.

Very grim and dated hotel with no proper facilities, after a very long day travelling with my son I expected a good hot meal and a drink, instead found vendor machines that didn't even work correctly and a very inadequate shop. Ended up in a Macdonald's. The room was very dark and uninviting, not too mention the noise of the traffic outside. I thought breakfast might improve my spirits but I wouldn't of fed it to a dog. The walk to the centre was around 2 miles, not such a bad distance if I wasn't walking over homeless people and drug addicts, we stayed one night and I booked us in to a far better hotel for the remainder of our trip. Avoid like the plague unless you want to catch it, over all really disappointing for our first time in the USA

the property are all clean . staffs were all nice and accommodating. a little bit far from the capital but there a lot of parking space but you have to pay $20/day. The breakfast was no variation, everyday they were the same during our stay . sausages and scramble eggs . cereal , oatmeal, bagel, wheat, white bread , muffin to choose. Also there's keurig but not working well the hair dryer not that easily dried my hair. Again the staff are nice and accommodating. Hotel are clean .

We stayed here for 4 nights to help our daughter move into Howard University. For the purposes of our trip, the hotel was fine. We rented a car, and everywhere we needed to go was 20 minutes or less. Most of the hotel personnel were wonderful; however, there was one VERY rude front desk woman who was just horrible to a foreign couple, who clearly did not speak English well, and who were trying to check in. The cleaning staff forgot to give us fresh towels and soap one day, but the front desk was quick to supply us with towels and soap when we asked. The hotel is at the crossroads of two very busy roads with a number of panhandlers. There is no place to go for a walk right outside the hotel. There is no public transportation from the hotel to downtown DC. If you are traveling to DC to visit the museums, the capitol, Lincoln memorial, etc. and you decide to stay here, I recommend you use uber or lyft to get to the hotel and to then get dropped off downtown. Parking downtown is a hot mess, so I wouldn't rent a car unless you plan to also take day trips into VA and MD.
