Valet was very friendly, front desk was nice, but check in was after the 4 pm check in time. Sat around in the waiting area after 4PM waiting to get our room. Finally around 4:45 my son went and asked again and we got our room (said that they inadvertently overlooked us). Other than that the room was very nice and spacious. There was complimentary coffee and donuts by the elevators on our floor (7th) in the morning. Great location! Held our bags until we were ready to leave. Would recommend!

The Mayflower is a beautiful Hotel. Historical. If you book there try to get a room that doesn't face the street as I hear it can be noisy. Luckily I had an inner room so it was nice and quiet. A/C unit was noisy, so we did turn that on and off. It is only a couple of blocks from the White House, so convenient for sightseeing.

We had a great stay at the hotel, the only down side was that we wasn’t allowed a late check (as our flight doesn’t leave till 10.50pm) because we had booked Marriott pulse ( HOTELS.COM) I didn’t realise as I booked it in the UK so it was a very long wait to sit around ready to go the airport as checkout was 12pm. It’s an excellent place to stay to see all the sights Washington D.C has to offer. Our room was very comfortable and clean, nothing really wrong to say about the hotel and would definitely recommend anyone to stay her
