"The hotel is very nice and very well maintained. There are enough parking spaces. My room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is located very close to Monterey and all the attractions. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s located at a safe location. I highly recommend it. Next we are in the Monterey area we will stay here. "

"The room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and really helpful. I had to extend my stay twice because of flight cancellations and they made the process very easy. It was an ideal location for me to easily get to Monterey and Carmel but for a more affordable rate. I would definitely stay here again. I didn’t have time to use the outdoor spaces but they looked very inviting!"

"Parking is okay. Room was clean and air conditioning worked fine. Just little things here and there that needed a bit of repair or attention. One of the window shutter had a broken or missing piece. Wall outlet under tv had a seperate outlet that looked like a new one that was missing drywall around it. Some other things too but overall not bad for a short stay."

"This is my second year staying at the Sand Dollar for Monterey Car Week. It is clean, well-maintained, quiet (unlike some of the extravagantly expensive hotels in downtown Monterey with noisy cars showing off at all hours of the night) and has enough nearby solid and reasonably priced places to eat. "Stayed at the property for a race weekend at Laguna Seca. Can't beat the convenience, plus a great experience for the price. Place is a little old but very clean and well maintained. We felt safe leaving our sports car in the parking lot in front of the room. A short drive to great authentic local restaurants with a ton more 10 minutes away in Monterey."
