I love Weed. I grew up in the area. Major fire scars in the area and the city itself is recovering from a major fire that destroyed much of the East side. Close to Mt. Shasta and not as expensive to stay.

Nice little community, a great brewery in the area. A nice hole in the wall bar to get a drink as well. Some good restaurants in the area as well.

We arrived in the evening after dinner. The area seemed quiet but safe. Two nice gas stations and two dining options just across the street. No worries
