"We were very happy with our stay, the staff were very welcoming when we arrived and throughout our stay. Our room over looked the beach/sea, well presented. The bed comfortable and the room was very quiet. My only concern was the smell of cigarette smoke drifting up from the balcony below. The breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice. The only disappointment was the poor coffee flavour/taste. I tried both machines with no improvement. It was not to my taste. Very minor issues. On the whole a very enjoyable stay."

"We stayed in the turret amd lived it's space and quirkiness. The hotel itself is lovely and keeps you fit as there are quite a few stairs, depending on where you're staying but it's decor and style is beautiful and we loved to read about it's history. Mat was so friendly and helpful and welcomed us warmly and ensured we got a parking space before helping us take our bags to our room. We ate out with family but came back to enjoy a cocktail in the bar, whilst listening to Shanty Sam. Breakfast was superb with every element full of flavour and cooked to perfection, which is unusual as with most cooled breakfasts, you normally find one thing overcooked/not tasty, etc but we enjoyed every bit of it. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming back again another time."

"We had a lovely time here and would recommend. We had a one bed apartment for our family of 4 (3 and 5 year old) which was absolutely fine. The kitchen was well equipped and had a supermarket delivery which was super easy. Our only problem with the apartment is the shower was basically just a trickle! The grounds are lovely, the kids loved the peacocks and ducks! The play park was also really well looked after. They also loved flying down the hills on their scooters. The facilities are also lovely, especially the pool which is heated. There's also evening entertainment in the games room/bar. We all loved the magic show."

"Hoops Inn is a lovely Grade II building with history. It has a lovely garden, although on a steep incline so may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulty. The staff are very welcoming & helpful. Lovely freshly cooked breakfasts with good quality produce."

"Breakfast was ok but nothing special, average items. I didn’t really enjoy the coffee out of the machine. Large room but no toiletries other than soap dispenser on the wall Instant coffee & tea in room but no biscuits "

"Beautiful stay, directly from check in. They checked us in early, gave us a beautiful room. The hotel is lovely and clean and over looks the beach. The staff were all friendly and lovely. We just loved it. "

"The breakfast menu was cooked to order and a great choice. The staff are wonderful and work hard, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the Lundy room which was well equipped, and a decent size, plenty of storage. We would definitely stay again. "
