"The hotel stay was pleasant. Very clean, convenient free parking right at the hotel, breakfast was plenty. Optional dinner on most days. You can start your hikes right at the hotel. I liked the guest kitchen with microwave, coffeemaker and filled refrigerator. The hotel takes the risk counting on honest guests. I really felt good about it. I like to give a shoutout for Renate who was very helpful and professional and friendly all through my stay. Only downturn for me was that I booked the hotel with the hope of using to the Sauna, as there are pictures showing a sauna in the listing. The sauna is no longer available to guests because of high energy costs. Not a big deal, as hiking and sightseeing is great in the area, but I wanted to mention it."

"I was quite pleased with my stay here. It was perfect and economical for my purposes. The staff person was quite nice and helpful, and while the front is not open all the time, it's easy to get in and out. It isn't a town that is open all hours, so don't expect to eat late at night, but it's definitely charming and the hotel was a part of that!"
