"We rarely get a break from our business so we are always so happy to find little gems like the Brocket. We loved the relaxed charm of the whole place. The roads accessing it may be a little windy & tight but Ayot is such a beautiful area it is worth the trip. We parked outside the pub & were greeted by the friendly team who showed us the room which had water left out & tea/coffee making facilities. It's everything you would expect from a 14th century inn. "Booked in advance so good value. Plenty of free parking; registration plate is required with check-in. The man on reception was efficient and friendly. Hallway to room was clean and smelt fresh. Room had desk, two chairs, storage/hanging space, TV, was clean, neat and tidy with comfortable beds. A kettle with coffee tea facilities were provided. Shower was all good but the loose toilet roll holder was annoying. It’s in services so some food/drink facilities available. Less than 10 minute drive...
"Not so good this time only because I was put on first floor and lift not work ,
Visit Before I was ground floor , I have weak legs so not good to use stairs with luggage . "
"Fantastic as usual. Very reliable, very quiet. Only downside, is that if you are staying on the ground floor facing the car park, others may see you. There is a hedge which prevents this to a small degree. This is a very minor criticism- everything else is perfect, best value for money. "

Breakfast was very good and had what you would expect for a full English, along with continental options—reasonable price. Location is excellent for car travellers as it is just off the A1, in the back end of a rest stop, and very quiet. Best part is this hotel is pet-friendly 🐶. "
"The pub abd the associated guest rooms are excellent. The area is quiet and peaceful, with easy access to the A10 routes to London or Cambridge. The local town of Ware is a gem for dining and shopping."
"Easy to get to and with good links to the various parts of Bedfordshire, it was an ideal property for my stay given it's proximity to the location I needed to visit the following morning. The room had all that I needed for my stay including complimentary shower gels, water, tea & coffee offerings and the breakfast menu was varied enough that I had a good choice to choose from."
"Really great stay. Lovely even meal, great breakfast.
Room was very clean and bed was comfy. I'd happily stay here again and bring my wife.
Some slight attention needed maintenance wise but nothing I'd complain about, especially give the price. I'll definitely be back when in the area.
