"The shower didn’t work annd was broken. Even after I told the front desk nobody came to fix it. The whole hotel smelled like marijuana and cigarettes even though it said no smoking. People around me in adjacent rooms were arguing and screaming. I told the front desk clerk twice and nothing was done. My fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and I had to get up and tell the desk clerk and he had to come down the room and fix it. The breakfast Buffett was total mayhem with kids and adults both making messes everywhere and not cleaning up after themselves. Everyone was in hair bonnets, pajamas, and house shoes. This place is as Ghetto as it gets! Avoid at all cost."

We called back to confirm this and because the people below us had an early morning we were told we had to be quiet. "I would like to share my experience from my stay last night at the Candlewood Hotel in Lake Mary, Florida. Upon arrival, the hotel made a great first impression. It is beautiful and surrounded by nature. However, when it came time to sleep, the experience was completely different. I was assigned room 423, and once everything was turned off, the noise from the nearby freeway was very noticeable. I understand that the hotel has soundproofing, but in my case it was not sufficient or did not function effectively, as the noise was constant and made it very difficult to rest. After trying to sleep for over an hour, I had to go down to the front desk to request a room change. I was moved to room 101, where the noise was somewhat reduced, but still noticeable. Overall, it was a very uncomfortable night and I was only able to get very little rest. It is unfortunate, because the hotel has great potential, but this issue significantly affects the guest experience.
