"Reception struggled to find our reservation at check in. Room was basic, Very hard double bed. Kettle and a jug of water was supplied at check in, no further water given and room does not get made up. We were in the main building annexe and it obviously had not been used for some time, smelt and felt damp. I know we are in the mountains and should expect lower temperatures. We were told hot water would only be available 7-10 both mornings and evenings but we had to ring reception several times...

"Location is damn good with the environment around with a greenery tea plantations, but the hotel & the rooms were in pathetic condition. The room which we stayed doesn't had basic curtains for the windows, also the rooms are not clean & hygiene for which they charge very high price. "

"Superb hotel in every way. Location is great - 1 minute from bus stop, about 3 to Charing Cross, an easy walk to the Botanical Gardens, food & shops. Attentiveness of staff & attention to detail is second to none - they even provided locally sourced cookies at the tea station in the room. Bed is possibly the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Linens, room & bathroon are all immaculately clean. Shower is hot and has excellent pressure. Breakfast is outstanding. "
