"Excellent stay! Loved the spaciousness of the room. Check in was so quick and easy and it was great being able to check in at 2pm. Bed was super comfy and we had a great sleep. We loved the jetted spa bath in the room, it was a great way to relax at the end of the day. We will definitely stay here again."

I like Whangarei. They have some great local walks and cycle trails. The Whangarei Falls are beautiful. We had some good meals out.

The redeveloped Basin area shouldn't be missed. Heaps of cafes, Hunterwasser Museum, Raeburn Gallery.

Met up with friends on Saturday evening and then had a lovely breakfast down on quayside the following morning. Picked up a couple of things at the local shops as well which was convenient and meant didn't need to do that back in Auckland.
